Very interesting to hear, in the heat of the moment (sorry couldn’t resist!) what you decided to take with you. So what did you decide was NOT necessary?

My spinning wheels, knitting needles, small loom, sewing machine, and freeze dryer. And on reflection I did miss my teddy bear.

I am so thankful that you're safe! How terrifying!🙏

Yes, the West is roasting, drying, snapping, and crackling.

I have been worried about my friends and family in the line of fire and floods. It never ends. We're praying for rain, too. May God bless you and I will keep you and your loved ones in my prayers.

I'm in Utah, but this has been the ungliest fire season we've had in years. Fortunately, I have not been subjected to near evacuation.

I will actually start putting together our 72-Hour Kits again to make sure we can leave with all the essentials. I'm grateful for your post for the reminder.

So glad that fire did not replace your place! Very good preparedness list! Looks like really yummy bread!

Thank you. Not sure I could take two huge hits in less than 5 years.
