In the immortal words of John Snow…..Winter is coming!
Here are the promised hats I have for sale at this time. Each purchase goes towards my winter hay purchase to keep my sheep flock for another year.
Each hat is 3-ply handspun yarn and hand knit. They are all 100% Merino wool from my flock. These are natural colored wools, and in the case of the grey hats, they are a blend of black and white fiber to achieve the color. These hats area also long enough to pull down over your ears to keep you toasty warm!
Hats 1 & 2 are knit in the French Voyager style with a long tip that can be tucked in to the brim or left out to hang. Hat 1 is an adult size which will fit a 22-24” head. Hat 2 is a medium adult size fitting a 19-22” head. These hats sit securely on your head and don’t pop off. At least they don’t pop off of my head!
Hat 3 is a navy watch cap style, also large adult size.
These three hats are spun in a lighter weight wool and are suitable for winters that are not screaming cold.
Hats 4-9 are also navy watch cap style, and are knit in a heavier weight of wool for those colder regions or those of you who always are cold. They are also adult large in size.

JUST ADDED!! Hat #10, pictured below. Same as the other watch cap style hats, heavier weight 3-ply wool, fits a 21-23” head snugly. $100.00 includes shipping.
Hat #5 is a winner, for sure, lovely wool, lovely workmanship! I am seriously tempted to keep it for myself this winter, instead of sending it off to my poor brother who is always cold! I will make him one!
I understand the time of year thing, there are two times of the year I have a hard time doing things, even after 13 years, the time around my son's death date and the time around his birthday. I just keep those dates in mind when planning things, it doesn't make things easier emotionally, but it keeps me from planning important things that won't get done around that time. You may have other or more dates that cause you painful missing him memories. Altho you will always have those times, but it does from my experience, get easier in-between those times eventually (I'm talking 13 years down the road for me). We will always miss them because love continues, but I appreciate those in-between times now when a memory can bring a smile instead of pain. You will be in my prayers.
