The tedium/anxiety cycle of this time of year eats me alive. I have less to worry about than you and I’m not sleeping all that great either. Hang in there - spring will come.

I’m an oldish lady keeping a mini farm going also. I have a handmade flax spinning wheel made 26 years ago by a 92-year old! I wonder if it can be used for wool?

Congratulations on keeping your farm going!! I spin wool on a flax wheel with no problems! I would love to see a picture of it if you have one.

I will work on getting you a picture. I also need to send someone a recipe. Not sure how to and these things. I’ll ask my daughter!🐑

I saw that you were getting blasted with cold weather. I mean there is cold and then there is just plain ridiculous. That really is a safety issue, so please be safe. Just to let you know what a ridiculous place Virginia is, school was cancelled for two days because of 3 inches of snow and 11 (above zero) degrees weather. I know we have a lot of rural roads, but closing is insane, maybe delay????? Been at home suffering from the 5-year-old preschool plague. God, I love my grandsons, because as they say, "sharing is caring". Might leave the house tomorrow, not because I need anything, I just need to get out of the house.

Be safe out there kiddo! And I promise you will not get the plague by reading this.
