I’ve heard a leaf mulcher can be used to grind alfalfa hay. For just Lucy, it might be a work-around if you can find a used one somewhere. I was looking into the idea for the elderly goat I was crippling along last year.

Was typing my "weed eater" suggestion as you posted this, hope one of them is a good fit, I'm sure it would be more cost effective!

Yay for Brandy! Yay for Lucky Lucy with her oh so loving mom. Your knitting is wonderful - I wear the hat I got all the time, even in chilly mornings this summer. The Sheep Fair sounds like so much fun- this sort of event has been happening everywhere sheep are raised for thousands of years… good connection to history!

I'm so glad you love your hat!! Thank you for the encouragement.

They are celebrating the life of sheep on the western ranges. And they do it so well!!! Anything to do with history is right up my ally!!

Thrilled to hear Brandy is doing so well after that scare! Couldn't a string line trimmer (weed eater) be used on a bale to "pre chew"

the hay for Lucy? Might be more cost effective than store bought. You should lose no sleep on the quality of your goods to sell, your work is top notch, best wishes!!
