Merry Christmas! Love your scrubby, it's pretty, is it a good scubby yarn? Let me know how it works for you, I might buy some of the yarn and make some too, lol the hard way with out a sock machine :P. I didn't spin this year on distaff day, I am going through cataract surgeries and my eye sight isn't wonderful yet :P, but I'm loving the winter solstice because oh my yes, longer days!!! I complain about the heat in the summer, but I love the sunshine. Miss the dry heat of the desert southwest, the humidity in the summers in the midwest is oppressive.

I gave one to a friend for Christmas and she says it works great. The yarn is called Scrub-ology 2.0 from Hobby Lobby. I hope your cataract surgery is a success! My doc says I have them too, but not bad enough yet to do surgery. Longer days are good!! Blessed Be!!

I had no idea the color loss because it happens so slowly, not that I couldn't see color, but I needed a lot more light to read and I stopped driving at night, and when they did the first one I covered up the one done and looked at my bathroom sink and it looked it's reg creamy white and then I looked at it the the new lens, oh why gosh it was bright white!!! and the colors on my fiber optic Christmas tree were so vibrant!!! but wait to get it done if you can until you get medicare and a good supplementary insurance (I have wellmark/blue cross blue shield plan F but if you were born after 1955 you would have to go with plan G which is almost as good, only differences you have to pay the $100 deductible and the F plan pays that too) other than my insurance premium between the medicare and the wellmark, it pays for everything medical. It's not on the vision plan which is separate because its surgery so it's considered medical and your health insurance pays it. I think the after care is worst because you are putting several kinds on drops in your eyes 4 times a day and tapering off one for several weeks. But if you want to see ,what can you do, lol it's helpful for knitting!!

The surgery isn't bad, you are partly under and it's only a 15 to 20 min surgery. Just kinda scary cos it's your eyes :P. The premiums are more on the suplimental but it covers but unlike advantage you are not tied to only a few doctors you can choose and you don't have to check with your insurance to see if you can see your dermatologist etc. I'm glad I didn't go on the advantage plans. But talk to a medicare insurance agent when you get ready to chose a plan and they can walk you through everything to see what is best for you. Because I wanted one that I didn't haver any bills left over after whatever procedure or even just going to the doctor, and I don't. On the supplemental plan I have there is no co-pay or left overs.

Merry Christmas! Good to hear that Rudah is on the mend. I had to ask the AI about Distaff Day. https://chat.openai.com/share/003f6247-dbe2-46d7-b881-df58bdd05c79

Merry Christmas to you and your family. You are so blessed to have them around to help. 2023 has been a difficult year. May 2024 bring you much more peace, joy and laughter.

Please change those coats so my new order of top will be perfect :)

Good luck with that storm, it looks like a doozy. If we had been colder last weekend, I would have had 20" of snow from the Nor'easter. But alas, no snow. Fingers crossed for the middle of January. For those that can't fathom why I am upset about no snow it is because I lived in the "Lake Effect Snow Belt" for most of my childhood along Lake Erie and lived in New England for years. I really miss it, but I don't have to leave my house if it happens.

Merry Christmas to all and a Blessed New Year.

Desire, well that is an impossible achievement. I will be blessed if I can receive all that I need. And to be honest, and it is not my needs I wish for, it is for my family.

“Two of this year’s lambs are coming up to me and letting me love on them now. I adore skitching lambie faces. They are so sweet and soft. The other lambs all regard me as a monster that is out to eat them.”

For a farm flock, pick the lovey ones. For a range herd, keep the ones that retain more of that skepticism about anything that might like a lamb snack!

You work so hard! Hope you continue to have a blissfully calm and quiet holiday season, with some gentle snow!

Agree with your lambiness assessment! Luckily, I'm just a farmer, so I can keep them!

Thank you, and I hope your holidays are everything you desire!

Very cool, hope the truce holds and Mother Nature treats you and yours well, I think the scrubby yarn would make a beautiful beanie!!!

Thank you. I hope she behaves as well but we do need the snow. It’s scary dry right now. I am not so sure it would make a good beanie, it’s very pokey yarn. 🤣
