Hello! I’m back!! Here’s a rundown of the recent Living History Days I participated in. This was put on by and in benefit for our local historical society, sort of as a kickoff for them moving the museum to a new building in “Old Town” a site with pioneer buildings already on it.
It sounds like a lovely event - I love that wheel. Do you prefer spinning with a backed chair or an open stool? I had someone make me a spinning stool, but it’s a bit too tall for me and it’s heavy enough that it really doesn’t work for my guerrilla-style spin-wherever-I-find-a-spot inclinations and has ended up as unused furniture that I really don’t have room for. It’s not period anything because it was a design a friend came up with on a whim, but it’s handmade and entirely out of wood. I have a lot of guilt when I look at it because I commissioned it out of affection for the maker but it doesn’t work worth a damn for me. I would happily send it down the line - especially if you could use it for something like this (or possibly a sewing/weaving bench).
Thank you. For spinning I prefer to have a back. I do lean back to rest quite often. And if I’m in stays or corset I really need it!! I bet laurette would know someone who would be interested!
Another!!! well written, informative, and fun read. Thank you Judy. Did I know you shoot black powder rifles? I don't remember that. Last week I took a run to the Rendezvous in Riverton. And I'm planning to attend the Jim Bridger Rendezvous in Pinedale this fall. Nice, nice, nice folks. Robyn Was there with you. I can tell by the way you spoke about him 💕❤️
I dont know if you knew I shot flinters. Its fun!! I hope you had fun in Riverton. Havent been to that one yet. I was invited to Bridger but not sure i'll make it. I hope he was with me, he would have been having a blast.
It sounds as if you have had yourself quite the week. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you for reading!! It was quite fun!
