Good day dear readers! I hope this finds you all well this week. Welcome to the new folks! The flock and I hope you enjoy your visit! I have a Miss Lucy update for you all. She is still here with us and showing some improvement. She’s not 100% better, but she’s getting there. Her foot use is at about 60% of the time now. We did lance and drain the gland/abscess on her foot twice and have kept her on antibiotics for now. A bit of puss did come out of the abscess, but it was primary blood. The swelling is down by half as of now. It’s still tender to her when I touch it. I am contemplating lancing it once more and this time, using a trick my vet taught me, injecting antibiotics into the pocket.

I’m stumped! It looks like the grooved block that you’d use for making rope (where the plies run along the groove and is spun by the loop on the end) - but I don’t think that’s it, because that would be an anchor-chain of a rope!
