Oh, what is it about 'Michaels'? They drive you nuts, yet they are your absolute anchor when you are at the bottom of the hole. He sounds perfect to me! He is smart and has a wonderful heart. I will take caring, loving, and their unconditional love over someone with a doctorate any day. Michaels are in a whole different category of sons, and I (like you) am amazed what they have accomplished, endured, overcome and still have a heart of gold. What gifts they are to us.
Thank you for introducing us to Michael ... he sounds like an amazing man who has overcome much and used who he is to live a life that matters ... excellent!
I loved every word of that newsletter. So much heart and soul. Just wish it was longer . Sorry I’ve not been able to read for so long now. Just can’t concentrate but this was wonderful. The photo of him with the horse made me feel alive, made me cry , made me smile, 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Sending gratitude to Elizabeth at 26th Avenue Poet for sharing this sweet piece about Michael. I’m familiar with the hard work of keeping a farm, and of caring so deeply for the animals. Michael is so attuned, and they know it. Lovely story.
Both of my sons are on the spectrum. The world has underestimated at every age. Kudos to you and Michael. One of the more interesting things they have learned about autistics is that it is a falsity that they dont have emotions. The truth is that they are over tuned into other peoples emotions to the point that they really dont know how to process them. So they shut down . And there is something about the compassion that comes naturally to them as well. I look forward to more wonderful stories.
I read a story written by an old farmer who was visited by the shades of his beloved horses one evening while walking down the lane. Your son is great. My son also helped me after our loss of his father.

Thank you. That picture of him with our horse Nicky was immediately before we had to put him down due to cancer. He was saying goodby to him.
I'm sorry you have having a rough time concentrating. I hate it when that happens to me. Holding you close
He’s a good ‘un. I love how he is with the critters. ❤️

Love the photo of Michael and the turkey!
Thank you!! That is one of our neighbors turkeys. We went over to help with one of their sheep and the turkey started to follow Michael around.
