It's always 5 o'clock somewhere! I already had tears in my eyes! Sounds as though you might want to get Pep to in bulk!

So glad for the outcome!

Love you!!!

Don’t think that works on horses. I have, however, given it to the sheep

Basic bodily functions! After a day like you had, a wee nip for something fortifying is justified! Just don’t operate any heavy machinery!

Oh man. I hate mystery illness - especially in horses.

Minor thought with the somewhat-neurological symptoms - she hasn’t been eating sage or rabbitbrush has she? Poop would be a bit “minty” and yellowish. This is the time of year when I had two horses decide to eat that stuff because there was nothing else green left. I lost both of them before I got it figured out. :/

Oh I’m so sorry!! Her poop does not indicate she has eaten that. We have very little of it on the property also.

Oh good - and also, you have poop to look at!

It was a weird anomaly that happened many years ago. My vet was completely stumped despite pulling PM’s on both horses. (Gut contents bright yellow and minty.) It wasn’t until I took a dye class (using sage!!) that I put two and two together (because of the yellow/mint smell) and went looking for toxicity reports. Ever since then, as soon as my pasture gets heat stressed and the grass goes dormant, I pull the horses off and start feeding hay. Usually in September, but it’s already happened here.

Also. Horses drive me to drink. No judgement if there’s some Screwball in your coffee this morning.
