What a lot of work. Hope the return to routine is smooth and you get a breather. Thanks for sharing about shepherding - who knew sheep wears suits!

Thanks for sharing all the ins and out of your shepherding ways. I love to hear how others work the flock. We’ve never used coats but yes it makes skirting a big job

Great issue!

I don’t know why but your mention of the guy with his “Rocky Sheep Suit” biz made me laugh and laugh. There truly is a business for everything!

Just reading about your weekend was exhausting. I don’t know how you keep it up but I guess the answer is that you have to.

Now I am curious--what is your off farm job? Have you mentioned this before?

They all look so great and I bet eager to get outside. Face it, 'the naughties' will find the end of fence. The only thing you can do is set up a game to see what date they find it. Good luck!

Survived the first half of the 83% eclipse. Interesting, and we didn't go dark, just very eerie outside. Dogs didn't notice. Wonder if I will make it for the next one? 50-50.

Now on to the cicadas. I have lived through the 17-year cicadas before. They were LOUD and divebombed into my windshield. But they do get quiet at night. So, I couldn't figure out what the big deal it was this year. Well, I guess west of Michigan there is a whole different family of cicadas that I think another brood of cicadas emerge. These two broods have not 'hatched' at the same time since Thomas Jefferson was president. It only happens every 221 years. So, can we call them locust and consider it biblical?
