Had left over fajitas from Chili's. My son gave me a gift certificate for Christmas so took my best buddy out for lunch. Weather, here in Virginia where I live it could be gross or horrible. We have the ocean on the east and mountains and valleys in the west, so predicting weather is almost impossible. We have two major North and South Interstates, 81 and 95. 81 is in the mountains and 95 goes up and down the entire East Coast. The area around 81 will start with ice and then they will get pounded with snow. I live closer to 95, and it may miss us or give us freezing rain, then rain or who knows. But I am ready. Have pet friendly ice melt to do the 13 stairs from the deck to the backyard. Have enough food to feed a small country. And have a home generator if my power goes out. (No power no water, no heat and no potty. I can make it for a day or two, but since my home is almost all propane and my son delivers my propane, I am good to go!) And since I live in a rural area snow plowing is not always done efficiently. Most of the time I need to resort to 'solar plowing', meaning wait a few days and it will either melt or get plowed. Time will tell and there is nothing I can do about it other than get as ready as I can. But with a propane stove top and frozen homemade soup and stews, all is good. May all of you be safe out there!

I’ve been down to your neck of the woods on 95 a time or two. Tough going for those folks there when it gets bad in the winter. Glad you are set to go!!

If it has been longer than 5 years, it is now a death trap. Add snow or ice and we will have a 60-car pileup. I grew up in snow and learned to drive in it. But I stay home because of all the yahoos out there that have NO IDEA how to drive in it. It just is not safe out there, and I am no sissy girl. But I think tomorrow I will bring some wood inside the house and garage. I may have heat, but there is nothing like a roaring fire to make the home cozy.

LOL I actually laughed out when you said "ewww people cooties". hahahaha. Probably how the alpacas think too :P.

Actually one of my favorite comfort meals to make for supper is Hamburgers and gravy. No bun, just a hamburger patty, fresh mashed potatoes, peas (my favorite) or corn, and bread (I break my bread into pieces it's easier to get on a fork :P). What about the gravy you ask? I put gravy on the hamburger patty, the potatoes and the bread, I don't need to put it on the peas or corn because I mix those in with the mashed potatoes lol. This was something my grandmother would make and I loved it, still do, I think about her everytime I make it :).

Thank you for the meal idea!! That sounds good! I have done seasoned ground beef and gravy over rice with a sprinkle of cheese.

Honestly, I was hoping someone would volunteer to come over and cook for me! LMAO
