This is not a post I wanted to write. It has taken me several days to think about how to write this, and process thru my own emotions. It’s been a tough few days Throughout my life and the various careers I’ve been involved in, I’ve found that I have been called upon to be present at the passing of a life from this plane to the next.
Darn those pets/sheep that are really family, they have a huge hold on our hearts. I try to think of them as gifts. Gifts that are cherished forever. I truly believe that there is a pet Heaven when they all go and are having the time of their lives, like we will. When I lost my beloved dog, my family could not believe I could get another dog. They saw it as replacing and forgetting about him. I told them he was a gift from God who would always be cherished. But this is God's way of telling us that there is another gift in need of our love. And that you don't discard gifts, and that is always room for one more.
I am so sorry for the lost of your ram, whom you loved and cared for during his last few days. What a beautiful visual of him and Rob standing together enjoying each other's company. Sending love and prayers for comfort. I know your animals must love you very much for your tender care, they are lucky for such a wonderful shepherdess.
