Curious why you don’t shear them yourself--or is this a helper you hired?

And got a kick out of learning it takes so long for a sheep to dry!

Thank you.

I don’t shear because I have not been taught how to actually. There is a lot of nuance to it that I don’t have in my hands. Also because I have fake knees and a bad back which won’t allow me to bend and move the sheep around the way they need too. It’s better for the sheep if I hire a professional to do this job. It reduces the stress on both sheep and me to do it this way. They are all now in the barn waiting for Friday!!

Hope all the preparations went smoothly (with sheep? is that possible?) Happy Shearing Day!

Well, knowing about your 'naughty' sheep, keeping them in the barn should be a piece of cake. Hope the weather remains your friend. Yes, I would love to be there, but sadly until school is over, I am the first responder if one of the grands gets sick. The best thing about being around these germ factories (especially the one in preschool) my herd immunity is excellent (knocking on my wooden head)

Be safe and have a great amount of wonderful fleece.
